According to sources from Maktabah Al-Bakri, tamar (dried dates) and butter are indeed the favorite of the Prophet SAW!

From Abdullah ibn Busr and Atiyyah ibn Busr, they said:

The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon us and offered us butter and dates. He loved butter and dates.

“Rasulullah SAW entered our house. Then we prepared butter and dates. He liked butter and dates.”

Did you know, according to the Ministry of Health, here are the calories for a date + butter eaten:

  • 1 serving of dates (3 medium seeds 30g) = 90 kcal
  • 1 teaspoon butter / butter = 50 kcal
  • 1 tablespoon butter / shortening = 100 kcal
  • Amount if taken together (3 seeds) = 140 kcal – 190 kcal

If you compare the value of this date butter with the calories of white rice, it is almost the same as 1 spoonful of rice.
