What is Budi Madani Diesel?

Budi Madani Diesel is a targeted subsidy program introduced by the Malaysian government to help those eligible to own diesel vehicles as well as agricultural or commodity companies.

Through this initiative, eligible applicants receive cash assistance of up to RM200 per month to accommodate the increase in fuel costs and reduce the effect of inflation on the price of goods.​​

This program was created to ensure that diesel subsidies are only channeled to those who really need them, thereby reducing subsidy leakage and preventing fuel smuggling activities.

The recipient category of Budi Madani Diesel includes individuals who own private (non-luxury) diesel vehicles, smallholders and officially registered agri-commodity companies.​​

Implementation of this program is also one of the steps in subsidy reform under the Civil Economy framework.

Monthly Diesel Subsidy Payment Schedule & Date (2025)

The Budi Madani Diesel program provides cash assistance of RM200 per month to individual diesel vehicle owners and eligible agri-commodity participants.

Each payment is made after the previous month’s application is approved in the BUDI Madani system.

The following is the official schedule and date of Budi Madani’s monthly diesel subsidy payment for the year 2025:

Budi Madani’s diesel subsidy payment for October 2025 was made on October 8 2025, Wednesday.

For October applications, payment will be made the next month, which is on November 7, 2025, Friday.

Application & Payment for October, November & December 2025

October Application: All who apply between 1–31 October will receive payment on 7 November 2025.

November Application: All who apply between 1–30 Novemberwill receive payment on December 5, 2025.

December Application: All who apply between December 1–31 will receive payment on January 9, 2026.

You just need to log in to the BUDI account, complete the diesel vehicle information and wait for the approval result which is usually processed within 14 working days.​​

Eligibility Requirements & Categories of Budi Madani Diesel Subsidy Recipients

The Budi Madani Diesel Program distributes fuel subsidies in a targeted manner to eligible citizens through three main categories: MySubsidi Diesel, Individual BUDI, and Agri-Commodity BUDI.

Each category has specific criteria depending on the type of vehicle, income, and purpose of using diesel.​​

General Eligibility Requirements

• Malaysian citizens who are 18 years old and above.​
• Individual or couple’s annual income of RM100,000 and below, based on IRB data review.​​
• Applications are made online through the official portal budimadani.gov.my.​​
• The bank account registered in the name of the applicant is still active for the crediting of cash assistance.​​

1. Individual CULTIVATION

The BUDI Individual category is open to Malaysian citizens who own non-luxury private diesel vehicles and are registered under their own names.

The following are among the main conditions:​

• Owners of private diesel vehicles registered using MyKad numbers.​
• Road tax (motor vehicle license) is still active.
• The annual income of an individual or a couple does not exceed RM100,000 based on IRB data.​​
• Vehicles are not luxury category and are more than 10 years old.
• Not registered for company use, e-hailing, caravan, motorhome, or tour bus.​​

Vehicle Criteria NOT FEASIBLE for BUDI Individuals:

• Private diesel vehicle registered for company/organisation use.
• Luxury vehicles (such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, etc.) under 10 years old.
• Vehicles registered as e-hailing; or
• Vehicle types: Diesel motorcycles, caravans, motorhomes, tour vans, and tour buses.

2. Agri-Commodity BUDI

The BUDI Agri-Commodity category is targeted at farmers, ranchers, and smallholders who need diesel for agricultural and commodity operations.

Eligibility requirements include:​

• Registered with an agency under the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) or the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (KPK) such as RISDA, LGM, MPOB, or LPP.​​
• Actively involved in crops, livestock, aquaculture, or commodities such as oil palm, rubber, cocoa, pepper, and kenaf.​
• Total annual sales between RM50,000 to RM300,000.
• Does not include smallholders under FELDA, FELCRA or RISDA because their subsidy assistance is channeled through other special schemes.​​

Applications are open throughout the year through Budi Madani’s official portal (budimadani.gov.my) with automatic cross-checking with IRB and agricultural agency data.​​

3. My Diesel Subsidy (SKSD 2.0)

The MySubsidi Diesel category is an extension of the Diesel Subsidy Control System (SKDS 2.0) system that involves commercial vehicles and the logistics sector such as goods transport, public services, and food distribution.​​

• Recipients use a Diesel Fleet Card, which controls the amount of subsidized diesel based on vehicle type and area of ​​operation.
• This scheme helps to maintain the stability of logistics costs, prevent smuggling, and ensure that traders and small businesses continue to operate efficiently.

How to Please BUDI MADANI Diesel

BUDI MADANI ACCOUNT REGISTER

1. Visit the official website of Budi Madani Diesel at the following link: budidiesel.gov.my
2. Select the recipient category and click “Apply Here”
3. Enter the MyKad number and click Check.
4. If you don’t have an account yet, you need to register first. Click “Register Account”.
5. Fill in the information required for BUDI MADANI account registration. Before clicking REGISTER, the applicant must ensure that the registered e-mail is active and there are no spelling mistakes because a verification link will be sent to the e-mail account for account verification.
6. After the account registration process has been successful. Please check the email that has been registered for the verification process and Login to submit a New Application or review the Application.

LOGIN

1. Open the received email and click the account verification link.
2. Return to the budidiesel.gov.my portal and click “Log in”.
3. Enter the MyKad number (12 digits) and the registered password.
4. Click the “Login” button to access your account dashboard.

DIESEL CIVIL CIVIL APPLICATION

1. After logging in, select the “New Application” menu.
2. Choose an application category according to your status: BUDI Individu, Budi Agri-Commoditi, or MySubsidi Diesel (company)
3. Complete the application form with personal information, active bank account number, and diesel vehicle details (registration number, road tax expiry date, make/model). Prepare supporting documents in the form of digital files for uploading.
4. Recheck the information that has been filled in and submit the application.
5. Wait for the verification and approval of the application which usually takes several working days. Approval status can be checked on your account dashboard.

If approved, a subsidy payment of RM200 will be automatically credited to your bank account every month. Beneficiaries without a bank account can claim the subsidy in cash at BSN by carrying a MyKad.

BUDI Diesel Eligibility Status Check

1. Visit the official portal of BUDI MADAI Diesel at
2. On the main page, click the “Login” button.
3. Enter the MyKad number correctly and click the “Check” button.
4. Confirm the security password (captcha) displayed, then press “Yes” for the next process.
5. Enter the registered account password and click the “Login” button.
6. After successfully logging in, go to the “Check Status” menu. Here, you can check the application status according to the applied category as well as diesel subsidy payment information.
7. If your application has been approved, information on the subsidy amount and payment date will be displayed. If not approved, you can also see the reason and can make an appeal or contact the customer service center.

Payment Method BUDI Diesel

Eligible recipients will be channeled as much as RM200 per month in line with the implementation of diesel subsidy targeting.

1. Crediting to Bank Account: Normally the subsidy payment will be credited directly to the bank account registered when the application is made on the official portal. This makes it easier for the recipient to receive cash assistance without having to be physically present.​​

2. Cash Claim at BSN Branches: For recipients who do not have a bank account, subsidies can be claimed in cash by bringing a MyKad at any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branch throughout Peninsular Malaysia
