About PLKN 3.0

PLKN 3.0 is the latest version reintroduced by the Malaysian Government as a more holistic human capital development initiative.

This program is implemented with a new concept and format that is comprehensive and transformative and implemented from 2025.

In addition, this program also aims to form a young generation that is not only disciplined and patriotic, but also equipped with relevant soft skills to face the challenges of the future.

Through this approach, this program is expected to contribute significantly towards the development of the personality and capabilities of the young generation of Malaysia.

The main objectives of PLKN 3.0 are:

• Increasing the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation,
• Nurturing and unifying young people from various races as well as national integrity,
• Forming a positive character and practicing good values,
• Cultivating and fueling the spirit of volunteerism, and
• Giving birth to a young generation that is fit, intelligent and confident.

Appointment Status

The appointment status for this Assistant Coach (Grade S1) is Contract of Service (CoS).

General Terms

The general conditions for applying for this position are as follows:

1. Malaysian citizens
2. Public: 28 – 45 years old
   Veterans: 35 – 53 years
3. Healthy body and “Body Mass Index” (BMI) does not exceed 27.0
4. Willing to serve in any National Service Training Camp throughout Malavsia

Terms of Appointment

The terms of appointment are as follows:

1. Malaysian Certificate of Education or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government.
   (The starting salary is at Grade SI: RM1,500.00); or
2. Malaysian Vocational Certificate in related fields recognized by the Government.
   (Starting salary is at SI Grade: RM1.500.00): or
3. Malaysian Certificate of Education or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government and Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 2 in a related field or a qualification recognized as equivalent to it.
   (Starting salary is at Grade SI: RM1,561.00); or
4. Malaysian Certificate of Education or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Government and Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 in a related field or a qualification recognized as equivalent to it.
   (The starting salary is at SI Grade: RM1,622.00).

Malay Language Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must also have honors (at least grade C) in the subject of Malay at the level of Siji Pelajaran Malaysia/Sijil Vokasional Malaysia or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the Malaysian Government.

Additional Merit

In addition, the following additional merits are also taken into account:

• Have served as a PLKN 1.0 and 2.0 Trainer; or
• Uniformed Body Retirees or ATM Veterans who have qualifications in the marching band course, physical fitness, leadership and military knowledge; and
• Able to educate, train and lead PLKN trainees towards good human capital.
• Public – expertise in the field of abseiling, fitness training, teaching experience / motivational courses.
