Recent: PM General Price RON95 dropped to RM1.99 a liter
The price of the RON95 will be lowered when the subisidi marketing is implemented by the end of September.
It will benefit about 18 million car drivers and motorcyclists including youths as young as 16 and gig workers.
This was announced by the Prime Minister through the announcement of the Prime Minister’s appreciation on July 23, 2025.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government remained plans to target RON95 petrol subsidies with details to be announced by the end of September 2025.
“Of course, as the approach to electricity subsidy, the government guarantees that the ordinary people will not be affected, in fact, I am pleased to announce that RON95 petrol prices will go down for the people.
According to him, the target approach is in line with the government’s advice to optimize the country’s resources for the benefit of the people, and to reduce the waste of subsidies.
“For 2023 and 2024, RON95 subsidies alone are estimated to cost almost RM20 billion a year, although this year world oil prices are depreciating, RON95 petrol prices without subsidies are still around RM2.50 per liter higher than subsidized prices for the people.
“At the same time, foreign citizens have to pay at a market price without subsidies,” he said.
More information on this implementation will be detailed in the near future.
