SKAS 2026 appeals can be made on a date to be notified later through the official portal For information, SKAS Phase 1 payments will be channeled from 10 MAC 2026 (Tuesday) via SPAY Global.

For those who are not eligible for SKAS Phase 1, you can make an SKAS appeal when the appeal phase opens later.

What is SKAS (Rahman Basic Needs Contribution)?

The Sarawak Basic Needs Contribution (SKAS) is an initiative introduced by the Sarawak Government to help ease the financial burden of Sarawakians, especially the low-income group.

This program aims to help the community gain access to basic needs such as food and other daily necessities.

Among the eligibility criteria for the recipient is that only Sarawakian children holding a “K” Identification Card who have an address and reside in Sarawak and three categories of eligible recipients are households, singles and seniors with no spouse and no children.

The implementation of SKAS provides many benefits to the people of Sarawak, including:

  • Driving economic growth: By increasing people’s purchasing power, SKAS can indirectly encourage economic growth in Sarawak.
  • Improving living standards: The assistance provided can help improve the recipient’s standard of living.
  • Lighten the financial burden: SKAS can help ease the financial burden to meet basic needs.

Target SKAS recipients

SKAS is targeted at several categories of beneficiaries, including:

Category 1: Home Contents

  • Married; or
  • Single Mother/Father/Widow/Widow/Divorced with dependents (children/parents);
  • Gross monthly income of RM5,000 or less; and
  • No age limit.

Category 2: Single

  • Not married; or
  • Single Mother/Father/Widow/Widow/Divorced without dependents;
  • Monthly gross income of RM2,500 or less;
  • Aged between 21-59 years; and
  • Single OKU (Disabled Persons) aged 19 years and above.

Category 3: Golden Citizens without spouse or children

  • Not married; or
  • Single Mother/Father/Widow/Widow/Divorce without children;
  • Gross monthly income of RM5,000 or less; and
  • Aged 60 years and above.

If you meet any of the conditions in the categories above, then you can make an SKAS appeal later.

SKAS Assistance Level

The rate of SKAS assistance given varies according to recipient category and eligibility. For the year 2026, SKAS payments will increase according to the following categories:

Household (Income ≤ RM5,000)

  • The annual allowance is increased by RM150 (from RM800 to RM950).
  • Value of Each Payment (Phase): RM316.

Golden Citizens Without Spouse/Children (Income ≤ RM5,000)

  • The annual allowance is increased by RM100 (from RM400 to RM500).
  • Value of Each Payment (Phase): RM166.

Single Individual (Income ≤ RM2,500)

  • The annual allowance is increased by RM50 (from RM250 to RM300).
  • Value of Each Payment (Phase): RM100.

SKAS Appeal Application Date 2026

SKAS 2026 Appeal Application Date is open NOT YET ANNOUNCED officially.

Expectations according to last year’s trends, SKAS appeals are open around February to June. Meanwhile, the SKAS appeal decision comes out around the 3rd quarter (June–July).

Payment of Phase 1 of SKAS 2026

The distribution of SKAS Phase 1 2026 aid is scheduled to start on 10 March 2026 (Tuesday) through the S PAY GLOBAL e-wallet.

This assistance will be distributed in stages to eligible recipients.

Distribution for the year 2026 will be done periodically, which is once every four months (three times a year).

How to Apply / Appeal SKAS 2026

SKAS 2026 applications and appeals can be made online through Sarawak’s official portal as well as manually at the office/PPR, provided you are a Malaysian citizen living in Sarawak and meet the household income criteria

When is the SKAS 2026 appeal application date open?

SKAS Appeal Date 2026 will be notified later through the official portal. Normally, the appeal phase will be opened immediately after the Phase 1 distribution process which started on March 10, 2026 is fully completed.

Where can appeal SKAS 2026?

The appeal process can be done online through the government’s official portal at while the appeal phase is open. You are advised to log in using SarawakID which has been registered.

Who needs to make a SKAS appeal?

– Individuals with “Not Eligible” status in Phase 1 review.
– Applicants who experience a change in status (example: reduced income or change of category from single to household).

What is the level of SKAS Phase 1 2026 assistance?

– House Contents: RM316 for each phase (Total RM950 per year).
– Single Gold Citizen: RM166 for each phase (Amount of RM500 a year).
– Single Individual: RM100 for each phase (Total RM300 per year).

Do I need to update my S PAY GLOBAL account for an appeal?

Yes. Make sure your S PAY GLOBAL account is verified (Premium User) so that funds can be credited immediately once your appeal is approved.
