The tournament will take place from October 21 to October 26, 2025 at the Glaz Arena, Cesson-Sévigné, France and offers a total prize money of USD 950,000.

The French Open is part of the BWF Badminton World Tour series in the Super 750 category, which means players will have the opportunity to collect important points for the world ranking and qualify for the BWF World Tour finals.​​

This tournament involves five categories namely men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Unlike the World Championships (BWF World Championships) which only take place once a year, the French Open is held every year and often sees fierce competition and dramatic actions on the court.
