Introduction

MyKasih is the implementing body of the monthly cash assistance that the government runs under the program Mercy Foundation Contribution (SARA)specifically to the recipient STR (Mercy Cash Contribution) who are eligible.

The way to use SARA / MyKasih is with the system cashlessmeaning that money not given cashinstead scanned with MyKad (Identity Card) when buying necessities. More information about this program can be made through the official portal

SARA money cannot be withdrawn in cash, only to buy basic goods.

Email MyKasih – OTP Email

From January 1, 2026, the MyKasih application login verification method will switch from SMS OTP to Email OTP.

This means the OTP will not be sent to the mobile number but will be sent to emailthat you registered.

Therefore, please register your email address in the MyKasih application first December 31, 2025to enjoy uninterrupted access.

The aim is to:

• Security: A verification code (OTP) will be sent to email for login purposes.
• Balance Check: You can check your help balance and transaction history in real-time.
• Updates: Facilitates direct communication if there are new announcements regarding assistance.

How to Update MyKasih Apps Email

1. Log in to the MyKasih application.
2. Click “Set Up Now” on the pop-up display that appears on your mobile phone screen.
3. Enter the email you want to register. Make sure the email is active.
4. Click, “Next”.
5. Check your email for email confirmation.
6. Klik “Verify Email Address”.
7. Finished.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• First login: You will still receive SMS OTP on a mobile phone.
• Second login and so on: OTP is unique will only be sent to verified email addressevery time you log in.

MyKasih Eligibility Check

Recipient STR 2025 which has been confirmed from data of Miskin Tegar and Miskin eKasih eligible for SARA 2025 amounting to RM100 / RM50 per month for period of 12 months (January 2025 – December 2025).

Whereas additional rate to all STR 2025 recipients Household and Elderly No Spouse category is RM100 / RM50 per month for the period 9 months (April 2025 – December 2025).

Recipients of SARA 2025 will receive assistance with basic necessities without cash (cashless) automatically through an account opened using the recipient’s MyKad.

Last Date to Use MyKasih

You can buy goods from the date the program starts until the date the program ends, that is on December 31, 2025.

There are 14 categories of basic goods that can be purchased using MyKasih / Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid which is channeled through the aid recipient’s MyKad, which includes food such as rice, bread, cooking oil, instant noodles, drinks, biscuits, as well as personal and hygiene items such as medicines, soap, and shampoo.

The 14 categories of MyKasih items are as follows:

3. Eggs: (Example: QL Eggs, NutriPlus)
4. Cooking Oil: (Example: Saji, Alif)

Items that cannot be purchased under this program are:

• Cigarettes and alcohol
• Electronic goods (phone, TV, laptop)
• Expensive clothes or luxury goods
• Fast food is not in the category of basic goods (Example: KFC, McDonald’s)
• Petrol or gas
• Premium cosmetics
