The Ministry of National Unity has opened applications for Unity Program Financial Assistance to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to organize unity programs involving communities at various levels and organizations through the website

With this assistance, the Ministry of National Unity hopes that NGOs can continue to work hand in hand with the Ministry in expanding “reach out” efforts and strengthening the effectiveness of the implementation of unity programs.

About the Financial Assistance of the Unity Program

Unity Program Financial Assistance is provided by the Ministry of National Unity to NGOs to organize programs in the form of unity.

The objectives of this assistance distributed are as follows:

• Provide financial assistance to intensify the participation of all levels of society in social development that contributes to the unity of the people and lasting harmony of the country.
• Making the Ministry of National Unity one of the driving agencies for the delivery of services related to unity and social well-being through a strategic collaboration approach with NGOs.
• Realize the strategies of the Ministry of National Unity to foster the spirit of unity and convey the message of unity more effectively to the target groups as a whole.

Program Focus & Shape

The focus of the program to be implemented is as follows:

• Harmony in diversitywhich is based on the concept Understand, Respect and Accept.
• Nation building based on goalsto increase the spirit of patriotism and pride in the national identity, integrate the principles of Rukun Negara in the daily life of the people and build a strong citizen identity with a spirit of tolerance and respect for cultural diversity and the value of unity.

The form of the program that can be done is a program in the form of education/ community service/ welfare activities/ volunteering/ sports/ recreation/ competition/ contest/ celebration/ celebration or other suitable programs based on the interaction and integration of various races.

Help Value

The financial aid that can be given is not more than RM100,000.00subject to evaluation and approval by the Ministry of National Unity.

The application conditions for applying for this assistance are as follows:

1. Applications can be made by NGOs to organize programs, activities or activities related to social cohesion to foster the unity of the people and the harmony of the country.
2. Organized programs should not be profit-oriented, political, individual or religious in nature.
3. The implemented program needs to involve target groups from various races.
4. Have a good plan to encourage and foster unity and spread messages of unity widely.
5. Organizing programs that can contribute to the national unity agenda.
6. The organization of the program does not involve matters that are against the teachings of religion, culture and traditions of the pluralistic society in this country and does not touch on sensitive issues that may cause problems or disrupt political, economic, social stability, public order and national security.
