What is Selangor Fare Subsidy?
The Selangor Tariff Subsidy is an initiative under the Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package.
It provides special cash assistance of RM30 per month for 6 months to ease the public transport costs of the people.
This program is planned with an allocation worth millions of ringgit to reduce the burden of living.

The payment rate for the Selangor Fare Subsidy (Public Transport Fare Subsidy) is set at the value RM30 a monthfor a period 6 months consecutively.
In total, each eligible recipient will receive a cumulative assistance amount of RM180.

The Selangor public transport fare subsidy application will be officially opened on 1 Jun 2026.

How to Apply for Selangor Fare Subsidy
To qualify, Selangor citizens need to download the official application NINE and complete the self-identification process using the system eKYC before making an application.
1. Download the NINE application (Official Super App Negeri Selangor) via Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2. Open the application and register a new account using your mobile phone number.
3. Complete eKYC. Create a self-identity verification (electronic Know Your Customer) by taking a photo of the identity card (MyKad) and face scan verification (selfie) in the application. This process must be completed to confirm your status as a citizen / legal child of Selangor.
4. Login: Open the eKYC verified NINE application on or after 1 Jun 2026.
5. Find and click on banner or icon “Public Transport Fare Subsidy” under the Selangor Resilience Strengthening Package portfolio.
6. Submit Application: Check your personal information, confirm the eligibility terms, and click the “Apply” button.
Once approved, the subsidy quota of RM30 a month will be channeled directly into the e-wallet function in your NINE application for use.
