Indonesia Open Badminton or Indonesia Open is one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments in the BWF World Tour calendar. The tournament has been organized since 1982.

For the 2025 edition, the tournament is officially known as the Indonesia Open 2025 fire ship and maintains the Super 1000 status of the world’s role. With the participation of elite players from around the world, the competition in the tournament is very fierce.

The tournament is not just a platform to earn world rankings, but it is an important platform to test performance ahead of big tournaments such as the World Championship and the Olympics.

The Malaysian Team is appropriate to the Final Final & Final

One of the main focus of the Indonesia Open 2025 is the achievement of the Malaysian squad. This year, the Malaysian badminton team performed a proud performance especially in the category Men’s doubles, women’s doubles and even mixed doubles.

In the quarterfinals of men’s doubles, Malaysian couple Tee Kai Wun and Man Wei Chong made a surprise when they beat India, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty with 21-19, 21-16.

Malaysian women’s doubles couple, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah, made it to the Indonesian Open 2025 final after defeating China, Li Yi Jing and Luo Xu Min, in a fierce semi-final with 12-21, 21-17, 21-11.

This is a historic achievement for Pearly-Thinaah as it is their first time in the final of the Super 1000 Tournament such as the Indonesian Open.

In the final match scheduled for June 8, 2025, they will face the winner of Chinese couple Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning and South Korean couple Baek Ha Na-Lee-Lee So Hee.

Not only that, the two doubles doubles of Malaysia advanced to the quarterfinals.

Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Jemie Lai made it to the quarterfinals after recording a victory over Thailand’s opponent Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran in the quarterfinals and before defeating the host in the 16th round.

The couple Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei also Mara went to the final term by killing opponents from India and Denmark on his way to the best Lapan.

However, they did not triumphed Mara to the final after being killed in the final half of the Thai couple, Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran.

The latest results of the Indonesia Open Badminton 2025 saw representatives from several major countries move to the finals in each category.

Malaysia made a history when the women’s doubles couple, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah, advanced to the finals, thus becoming the only representative of the country on the championship stage.

South Korea also sent representatives to the finals, especially in the only category of women through an Se-Young.

Meanwhile, Indonesia dominated the men’s doubles category with at least one mate to the final, maintaining their tradition of strength in their own court. Thailand managed to place a representative in the mixed doubles final.

Overall, the country that succeeded in the Indonesia Open Badminton 2025 final is Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand.
