Preparation for the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) is an important phase for students in Malaysia. With the SPM 2025 exam date approaching, knowing the full exam schedule is an important first step for students and parents to plan an effective revision schedule.

The SPM 2024 exam will start with the Malay Speaking Test on 3 – 6 November 2025.

For students taking Science subjects, special attention should be paid to the date of the Science Practical Test. This test will be held on November 17, 18 and 19, 2025 for Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

For students taking Additional Science, the practical test will be held on 19 November 2025. Be sure to review all lab procedures and important concepts before this test.

Next, the English Speaking Test will take place from 10 to 13 November 2025.

Another important date to remember is 20 November 2025. On this day, the Listening Test for both Malay and English will be conducted.

The SPM 2025 written exam will start on 25 November 2025 and ends on 23 December 2025.

The following is the latest date of the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) Examination Time Table for the information of all, especially candidates who will sit for this examination.

The 2025 SPM examination timetable has taken into account every matter including the number of school days as well as Federal and State Public Holidays.

Accordingly, all candidates are reminded to refer to the examination timetable to obtain information on the date, time, code and examination paper as well as the instructions to be followed.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS – SPM 2025

1. Candidates must sit all examination papers for the subjects registered. Candidates who do not sit any of the written examination papers or perform the Speaking Test, Listening Test, Oral Test, Science Practical Test and Coursework will be considered ABSENT for the relevant subject.

Candidates who are unable to sit or do not attend an examination paper are required to submit supporting documents such as a doctor’s certificate or a special permission letter from the Director of Examinations. This supporting document must be submitted to the Chief Examination Invigilator / Chief Assessor of the Test Center / Chief Assessor / Chief Practical Invigilator before the end of the SPM 2022 examination period.

2. Candidates should check the details on the Examination Registration Statement before the examination. Candidates must inform the JPN if there is an information error and fill in the Candidate Information Correction Form. Candidates are charged a fee of RM30.00. Payment must be made to the JPN in the name of the Accountant General of Malaysia using Money Order/Postal Money.

3. Candidates must submit the Examination Registration Statement to the Chief Examination Invigilator/Chief Assessor of the Test Center/Chief Assessor (Assessor)/Chief Practical Invigilator at an examination center other than the candidate’s original examination center. Head of Examination Supervisor/Head of Test Center Assessor/Head of Assessment (Assessor)/Head of Practical Invigilator must check the candidate’s information and subject information before allowing the candidate to board at the examination center under his/her supervision.

4. Candidates must read the Examination Guidelines and Instructions stated in the SPM 2024 Examination Time Table and sign the Candidate Acknowledgment Form.
