What is the Selangor Kindergarten Assistance Scheme (TUNAS)?

The Selangor Kindergarten Assistance Scheme (TUNAS) is a kindergarten fee assistance program provided by the Selangor State Government to help ease the burden of parents paying their children’s kindergarten fees.

The amount of assistance given is RM50 per month. The scheme is specifically for eligible 5 and 6 year old children.

This assistance is not given in cash to parents but is directly channeled to kindergartens registered with the Selangor State Education Department (JPNs), Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), Community Development Department (KEMAS), National Unity Department (JPN).

The main purpose of TUNAS is to ensure that early education is accessible to low-income families in Selangor by reducing the cost of kindergarten fees directly through this assistance.

1. Applicants must be Malaysian citizens
2. Applicants must either:
   • Mother OR father born in Selangor and currently residing in Selangor
   • OR a child born in Selangor and currently residing in Selangor
   • OR parents who have been legally resident in Selangor for at least 5 years. Must obtain residency confirmation from the Village Head / Penghulu / Housing Park Chairman / Senator / Assemblyman / Local Authority Council Member in the area of ​​residence
3. Household income of RM3,000 and below
4. Husband and wife work or not work
5. Children aged 5 and 6 years only

2. Fill in the applicant’s ID card number and also the child’s mykid number.
3. Click New Registration.
4. Fill in all the required information accurately. Then, click Send.
