GUIDE TO READING THE PRAYER, SELAWAT AND TASBIH OF THE TARAWIH PRAYER

The Tarawih circumcision prayer is a special act of worship that is only performed in the month of Ramadan. The priority and advantage of doing it is very great as the Prophet’s Hadith;

From Abu Zar al-Ghifari RA, that the Prophet SAW said:

Whoever stands with the imam until he leaves, it will be decreed for him to spend the whole night in prayer.

Meaning: “Whoever stands (praying tarawih) with the imam until he (the imam) departs (is finished), the reward of the person who performs Qiyam all night (like praying all night) is written for him”.

Recitation of salawat, takbir and certain tasbih when starting or between terawih prayers is not mandatory if we do not memorize them.

However, it is not wrong if we want to practice it because the purpose is to increase worship in this holy month.
