Hylo Open Badminton Introduction 2025

HYLO Open Badminton 2025 is a prestigious international badminton tournament taking place in Saarlandhalle, Saarbrücken, Germany from October 28 to November 2, 2025 with a total prize pool of USD 475,000.

This tournament has a long history since 1988, and has been known by various names such as BMW Badminton Cup, BMW Open International, Bitburger Masters, Bitburger Open, as well as SaarLorLux Open.

In the past it was sponsored by the German automotive company BMW and the beer producer Bitburger, but since 2021, the main sponsor of the tournament is Hylo, an eye lubricant product brand based in Saarbrücken.

In 2018, the tournament was included in the BWF Tour Super 100 series, before being upgraded to the Super 500 category in 2021 and then downgraded to the Super 300 the following year.

Interestingly, from March 31, 2025, the HYLO Open Badminton will once again be raised to Super 500 status for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, replacing the Canada Open which was relegated to the Super 300 category, making it one of the most important tournaments in the world badminton calendar.
