This squid is known as a large squid that weighs over 10.5kg depending on the place and location.

About the frog squid

Frog squid or better known as Cuttlefish is a squid that has an internal shell (bone), a large W -shaped pupil, and eight arms and two tentacles with small -scale suckers, used to catch its prey.

This squid has millions of pigment cells called chromatophores that allow the squid to change color and be able to disguise and match the color of the surroundings.

There are about 100 species of frog squid have been found so far, usually having a body of 25 centimeters.

This largest squid species in Australia, the Australian Giant Cuttlefish, can grow up to 50 centimeters.

The squid has 3 hearts and can usually be found up to 600 meters in water and the life expectancy of a frog squid is only about 1-2 years.
