About Muamalat Bank Special Flood Relief
This Special Flood Relief is an initiative of Bank Muamalat to provide facilities to its customers affected by the flood disaster.
This assistance includes a moratorium on all individual and business financing for up to six months and the replacement of debit and credit cards at no charge.
Through this assistance, it is one of the proactive measures to ensure that the documentation and application approval process is simplified for those involved in the flood.
The introduction of this assistance illustrates the role of banks not just to provide financial products, but more than that.


Moratorium Payment Period (MPP)
Moratorium Payment Period (MPP) is a temporary postponement of financing payment obligations for a limited period of time.
During that period, customers who have financing and meet the terms and conditions do not need to make any installment payments.
For this assistance, the MPP offered is up to six (6) months for all financing facilities to Bank Muamalat customers, whether individuals living in flood-affected areas or businesses located in those areas.
As a result, the funding balance will shrink at a slower rate than the original schedule and may cause the following:
- Increase to the total amount of payment and the total amount of financing cost. However the total cost of financing will not exceed the selling price; and/or
- The remaining payment will be accumulated on the last installment of the financing which must be paid in one go; and/or
- The accrued profit amount and late payment charges (if applicable) for the original financing are due in the future and this amount will not be taken into account in the new profit calculation; and/or
- The next payment will be used to clear the remaining accrued profits in advance. After that, the distribution of profit and principal for the monthly payment will return to normal after the completion of the amount of accrued profit.
How to Apply for Special Flood Relief
To apply for this special flood aid, please follow these steps:
- Download the “Service Request Form (SRF)” at the link
- Fill in the required information completely.
- Prepare the necessary documents such as:
– Photos related to floods such as houses, vehicles and so on;
– Confirmation from local authorities;
– Other documents (if applicable). - Email the form along with the relevant supporting documents to the address [email protected] no later than sixty (60) days from the date of the flood event.


Application Results
For the decision of this assistance application, the bank will contact the successful customer either through a notification letter or SMS.
Frequently Asked Questions
All individual and business financing is eligible to apply if the financing is not in arrears.
Monthly payments after the end of the MPP will remain unchanged and subject to the previous financing terms.
