Avoid ‘scam’, no distribution of strang through supermarket

The public is advised to be more careful with the current scam tactics, especially involving the names of government assistance such as Rahmah Cash (STR) contributions and Rahmah Basic Contributions (SARA).

According to a media statement issued by Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad’s Managing Director Datuk Wira (Dr.) Haji Ameer Ali Mydin, There are irresponsible parties who are disguised as representatives of certain companies or government agencies to deceive the public.

In fact, some use famous retailer names like Mydin as a bait, by sending fake messages through apps like WhatsApp, SMS and social media.

Datuk Wira Ameer insists that Mydin is not directly involved in any form of aid distribution such as Streither through physical premises or personal communication platforms.

He also warned the public not to believe in the message that promises financial aid, especially if it comes with suspicious links or personal information requests.
