Application for Tahfiz JAKIM-IIUM 2026/2027 Certification Program

For SPM graduates who wish to continue their studies at the Bachelor’s Degree level but at the same time aspire to become an Al-Quran memorizer or Tahfiz, you are invited to apply for the JAKIM-IIUM Tahfiz Certification Program session 2026/2027.

For those who don’t know, this kind of study program is also offered with other study institutions such as JAKIM-UNITEN Al-Quran Tahfiz Certification Program, JAKIM-IPGKPI, JAKIM-UoC and JAKIM-PSAS Basic Tahfiz Certificate Program.

Get to know the JAKIM-IIUM Tahfiz Certification Program

This program is a unique study program of its kind in Malaysia.

Selected students are required to memorize the Qur’an as much as 30 juzu’ within a period of 3 semesters (18 months) or a year in addition to studying other subjects such as Tajwid ‘Ilmi, Tajwid ‘Amali, Adab Hamalah al-Qur’an, ‘Aqidah, Fiqh Al-‘Ibadah, Arabic and English.

Students will study at Darul Quran JAKIM Main Campus, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor, Selangor.

Upon completion of the tahfiz al-Qur’an certification program, students will return to the IIUM Gambang Foundation Campus to continue their studies at the Foundation level.

Date of Application

Application closing date is before or on January 1, 2026 while the date of registration / admission to Darul Quran JAKIM is on February 9, 2026.

Study Period

The study period for this program is 16 months (February 2026 to May 2027).

Application Conditions

SPM graduates who meet the conditions below are invited to submit an application to follow JAKIM’s Tahfiz Certification Program:

• Malaysian citizens
• Malays, Peninsular Natives, Sabah Natives and Sarawak Natives Only.
• Not Married
• Passed SPM Trial Exam 2025ONLY by getting:

i.  Minima Grade B for any one (1) subjects in the following groups;

Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah Education / Islamic Shari’ah Education / Islamic Education / Usul al-Din / Turath al- Quran and al-Sunnah / Al-Sharia / Manahij al-‘Ulum al-Islamiah / Turath Dirasat Islamiah / Maharat al-Quran / Hifz al-Quran

ii. Low GradeB for the following subjects;

• Malay language
• Mathematics
• English Language / English Literature

iii.  Minima Grade C for all the following subjects;

• History
• Arabic / Al-Adab wa al-Balaghah / Al-Lughah al- Arabiah al-Mu’asirah / Arabic Turath

v. Pass the prescribed interview and test

i. Applicants should choose IIUM as the Main Choice through UPUOnline (as Eligibility Prerequisite).

How to apply

Application for SPM 2025 candidates is to use SPM 2025 trial or Form 5 Exam Results (Year 2025 only) and must get it confirmation stamp from the school.

Applications can be made online (online) and must be filled out completely through https://mydq.islam.gov.my/login_pemohon (during the advertisement period only) and the form must be printed and brought while attending the interview session.

Review of Results

Date of review of qualified interview results and successful results in interview on 26 to 28 January 2026through https://mydq.islam.gov.my/login_pemohon in the ‘REVIEW’ menu section.

Candidates are considered unsuccessful if they do not receive any feedback after February 9, 2026.
